Pasadena Radio Club main@PasadenaRadioClub.groups.ioThe Pasadena Radio Club. This list (by agreement of the Board) was opened up for all interested in ham radio (primarily in the Pasadena CA area), with moderation for new members. Membership is now $25/year, due in January, and delinquent Apr.1. Pay or renew early, avoid missing your Bulletin.
We meet monthly (except December) on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM online, using the Zoom application. An invitation will be sent through this group with the meeting number and password. Anyone with a legitimate interest in Amateur Radio is welcome. Our Executive Board meets the same way on the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM. All members are welcome to join either meeting.
Mentoring ('Elmering') is available to help get started. "The only Dumb Question is the one you Didn't Ask!"
Members have a nice place here to get in touch with other members, all (through the Group) or just one, through the Membership list.
Licensed hams (and listeners!) are invited to our weekly net, on the 2 meter band, 145.180, - offset, 156.7Hz PL/CTCSS on the W6MPH Pasadena 'TelCo' repeater (thanks to AT&T for the access!) The net is held every Wednesday starting in 2019 at 6:30 PM. We are followed and joined by the SPARC [South Pasadena Amateur Radio Club] net at 7:30PM. If you'd like, stick around for both!
We also maintain a 1200 baud packet radio mailbox at W6KA-1 on 145.050 MHz and 223.600 Mhz, cross-band capable, with a KA-node name of MIRDOR, located West of the Rose Bowl. (It's down for maintenance.)
